Sun Temple, Modhera (71 km)

It was built in 1026 AD and is easily one of the finest examples of the devotional architecture in western India. The exterior of temple is carved with traditional erotic scenes and images of many gods and goddesses, while inside are friezes from epics like the Mahabharata.

Munsar Tank, Viramgam (57 km)

Built in 12th century on the outskirts of the walled town of Viramgam, flaunts Solanki architecture on all its banks. Earlier, there stood 520 shrines on the embankment steps of the Munsar lake and 360 of them still stand there today.

Rani-ki-Vav, Patan (88 km)

The Rani-ki-Vav stepwell (UNESCO World Heritage Site) at Patan, built in the mid-11th century is the oldest and perhaps the grandest among the 120 odd stepwells in Gujarat. Its sculptures are impressive in both quality and quantity.

Shankheshwar Teerth

A jain temple where 23rd Tirthankara, Bhagwan Parshwanath is the presiding deity. The idol is in the padmasana (lotus) posture and is nearly 6 feet high. There are other 52 idols, as well.

Becharaji Mataji Temple (57 km)

As one of the chief Shakti Peeths, it is one of the most visited temples of Gujarat. An abode of Goddess Bahuchara Mataji whose blessings are believed to cure any physical disability and impotency.

Mandal-Becharaji SIR (50 km)

The Gujarat Govt. has established a new Special Investment Region (SIR) near Becharaji. Strategically located, as it forms part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), Becharaji has been chosen for a new SIR after Suzuki found the spot useful for exporting its cars.

Suzuki plant's current capacity is about 2.5 lakh units per year. But with new investments, Suzuki has plans to take it to 4.5 lakh units per year. Honda inaugurated the “World’s largest only scooter plant" at Vithalapur near Becharaji, Gujarat with annual capacity of 12 lakh units.
